Great week. Had a look at Survey Monkey. Brilliant! This is so easy to use and extremely quick method of getting peoples opinions about any topic you like. Did phone answering as well. Something you think you are good at till you try to write down lots of info when a customer is speaking very fast. One needs to learn the art of interrupting politely and repeating back to the customer.

Catch Up
Finally I feel like I have caught up in most of my subjects. This really relieves the feeling of stress. Next week we are even going to look at stress.

Hey today was flat out, I didn't know if I was coming or going. We made a KPI checklist, which i will find very useful with my memory. We also looked at the dangers of social networking. It's incredible how fast things can get out there. I don't believe the kids realise the implications that all the things they post can have on them in the future. It seems like a good idea to keep your contacts in groups.

Week three already.
Started using one note today. Great tool as we could share the file between all the class members allowing everyone to read and update the same notes. We also researched the legal side of SPAM which was very interesting seeing as the amount of spam seems to be getting worse and we do not often here of people being convicted of the crime.
Hi again just posting an email etiquette list we did in class.

Email Etiquette

  1. Write a meaningful subject line. Helps receiver to find later
  2. Keep the message short and concise. Reader more likely to read it properly
  3. Avoid too many attachments. The email client might reject them and it looks messy
  4. Identify yourself clearly with a signature block.
  5. Be polite. You don’t know who will read this
  6. Proofread. You cannot get it back
  7. Be aware of privacy, i.e. there is none.
  8. Distinguish between formal and informal situations.
  9. Respond Promptly.
  10. Show Respect and Restraint. Sleep on things before you reply

Week 2 and I am still here.
Looked at Email etiquette today. It's amazing how the info can easily get out there. There really is no privacy in an email. Looked at goggle calendar and entered our class times and assessment due dates. very useful. These milestones make sure I am keeping up with my work and not getting behind the eight ball. The advantage of on-line calendar to hard copy is the fact that it is easy to change, can give you an alert, can be accessed from any where you can access a computer or mobile phone. Also if you change an event on one device it is available on the other. This greatly helps with time management as all your to do's come up chronologically in one place on your due date table.
