Microsoft outlook has
a lot going for it:
§ easy to use spam filters
to sort out the junk
§ virtual folders,
§ fast message
searching,
§ flagging,
§ grouping RSS feed reader turns up news items as emails
automatically.
§ Social networking,
does deliver another kind of news in often helpful a manner. Once set up to
work with the networks you're using.
§ Outlook 2010 goes to
great lengths protecting your privacy and security. Outlook supports S/MIME
message encryption, lets you display all mail in super-secure plain text and
even sports a custom, more secure (albeit a tad clumsy), HTML message viewer.
§ Email editing works well
with all the comfort you know from Word.
§ Comes with built in calendar,
tasks and a comprehensive contacts list
Some of
the problems are:
§ It's a pity you can't
train the junk mail filters
§ Outlook also offers
no way to apply categories to messages in IMAP accounts
§ Outlook is probably as
well known as a target for viruses as it as a personal assistant.
§ Flexible message
templates are not included.
§ Tasks only come with date
and not finish time thus limiting their usefulness

Had a look at time management today. this included 168 hr week in the desk
We also looked at a time management quadrant looking at important, unimportant, urgent and non-urgent tasks for our week. not sure what to think of this. I found it hard to classify tasks. Here is my quadrant.

Great week. Had a look at Survey Monkey. Brilliant! This is so easy to use and extremely quick method of getting peoples opinions about any topic you like. Did phone answering as well. Something you think you are good at till you try to write down lots of info when a customer is speaking very fast. One needs to learn the art of interrupting politely and repeating back to the customer.

Hey today was flat out, I didn't know if I was coming or going. We made a KPI checklist, which i will find very useful with my memory. We also looked at the dangers of social networking. It's incredible how fast things can get out there. I don't believe the kids realise the implications that all the things they post can have on them in the future. It seems like a good idea to keep your contacts in groups.

Week three already.
Started using one note today. Great tool as we could share the file between all the class members allowing everyone to read and update the same notes. We also researched the legal side of SPAM which was very interesting seeing as the amount of spam seems to be getting worse and we do not often here of people being convicted of the crime.
